A stray dog wandered into my life by chance on a street corner, and from the very first moment I reached out to pet him, he seemed to have made up his mind about me — following me wherever I went, never leaving my side. No matter how far I walked or how well I hid, he never stopped searching for me with quiet, unwavering determination. Looking into those big, watery eyes and feeling the frailness of a body that was little more than skin and bone, I simply couldn't bring myself to walk away. I took him in — this little soul who had placed every ounce of his trust in me — and gave him a name: Wang Chao. From the moment I first felt his ribs beneath my hands during that initial bath, to slowly nursing him back to health, taking him on walks, and watching him tear through the open fields of the countryside with pure, unbridled joy — he had transformed from a timid, wandering stray into a mischievous, bright-eyed little guy whose eyes were full of nothing but excitement and happiness.
