제천 백운면 무너지지 않는 보강토 공사의 비밀4탄-좁은 공간 석축 철거부터 배수까지 완벽 시공

Hello. I am Manneung Baksa, the master of construction, home repair, and interior design in Chungju, Jecheon, and Wonju. Today, I would like to introduce a project we completed in a single package—from the demolition of the stone retaining wall to reinforced soil construction and drainage facilities—in a narrow space behind a house in Unhak-ri, Baegun-myeon. The gap between the building and the retaining wall was extremely narrow, the slope was steep, and the clay soil made it difficult to excavate. Furthermore, each stone of the retaining wall was large, making the demolition itself a challenging task using mini equipment. We dedicated a full three days to removing all the retaining wall and internal soil, and then compacted the ground. Foundation Concrete Pouring — A Solid Start After compacting the ground, we poured the foundation concrete. With a width of 70cm, a length of 6m, a thickness of 30–40cm, and a concrete strength of 240, we completed the structure sturdily to adequately support the load of the reinforced soil that will be built later. Mobilizing a 25-Ton Crane — A Solution for Confined Spaces Since there was no way to transport the reinforced soil blocks and aggregates into the site, a 25-ton "Myeonggong" crane was positioned at the building entrance to transport the materials one by one. *Reinforced Soil Construction — Stacking, Filling, and Compacting in 3-Layer Stacks* Based on a thickness of 20cm, we stacked 9 layers and placed caps on top to complete the structure with a total height of 1m 90cm. The construction sequence was as follows: Stack 3 layers → Fill with aggregate → Compact thoroughly using a lever → Lay the grid → Repeat 3 layers, totaling 3 cycles. Due to the characteristics of the narrow space, the backfill was entirely filled with aggregate to minimize soil pressure and enhance the finish quality. *Drainage Facilities Completed in One Go — Catch Basin + Perforated Pipes* We leveled the clay floor by laying gravel and installed a catch basin to handle rainwater coming down from the roof. Perforated pipes were buried behind the reinforced soil to connect with the catch basin at the front, completely organizing the drainage path. ** If you are planning reinforced earth construction or are struggling with stone retaining wall issues, please contact Manneung Baksa.
