Pharmaceutical distribution puts two demands in one building. Shanghai Pharma's new center in Meishan, Sichuan was designed to handle both at scale, and BlueSword built the automation that makes it work. The harder problem is space. Piece-picking at this volume tends to consume floor area, so the center relies on a Multi-level Shuttle Storage System that fits more than 22,800 standard totes into a tight footprint and feeds them straight to goods-to-person stations. Around it, pallet AS/RS, vision-guided robotic arms, and flexible conveyor lines connect storage, picking, and dispatch into a single flow, coordinated through 5G, digital twin, and machine vision.
