Luciano Liggio l'Arresto: la Primula Rossa di Corleone tra Mafia e Latitanza
How was Luciano Liggio, the "Scarlet Pimpernel" of Corleone, captured? For years, he evaded justice by hiding in the woods and at Rocca Busambra, while the police had only an old photograph to track him down. After eliminating Don Michele Navarra, Luciano Liggio became the undisputed boss of the Corleonesi and expanded into illicit businesses: trucking, clandestine slaughter, real estate speculation, and drugs. The Ciaculli Massacre of 1963 prompted the state to send Commissioner Angelo Mangano to Corleone with one goal: to capture Liggio. It was only in 1964, at the home of the Sorrisi sisters, that the boss was finally arrested—undermined by Pott's disease. What you'll find in this video: ✔️ Liggio's fugitive status after Navarra's murder and his illicit business network ✔️ The 1963 Ciaculli Massacre and the State's response to the Mafia ✔️ Commissioner Angelo Mangano's role in the hunt for Liggio ✔️ The myth of the "Scarlet Pimpernel" and his years hidden in the Corleone woods ✔️ The arrest at the Sorrisi sisters' home in Corleone in 1964 ✔️ Liggio's illness and the conditions that made his capture possible ▶ Subscribe to the channel: / @italiamistero ▶ Subscribe to the channel and discover the archive: 👉 Join the community now: https://www.youtube.com/@italiamister... 🔎🕵️♂️ Discover exclusive content from Italia Mistero: by subscribing to the YouTube channel, you'll have access to exclusive videos, insights, and archive material that I don't publish elsewhere. 👉 Join the community now: https://www.youtube.com/@italiamister... 🔎🕵️♂️ 📱 Telegram channel: t.me/italiamistero 🌐 Official website: italiamistero.it 📧 Contact and collaborations: [email protected] #ItaliaMistero #MisteriItaliani #DocumentariItaliani #LucianoLiggio #Corleonesi #CosaNostra #PrimulaRossa #MafiaSiciliana #StrageDiCiaculli #StoriaItalia WARNING • This video is the result of journalistic research and uses only public and accessible sources. • Some images or short video clips are reproduced for news, criticism, commentary, or information purposes pursuant to Article 70 of the Italian Copyright Law. • Reconstructions are for informational purposes only. • Unlawful conduct is not promoted. • This content does NOT constitute advertising nor does it contain sponsored content.
