A contingent of 40 Peruvian firefighters and the rescue dog "Kayra" (also known as "Kiara") will depart for Venezuela. The group is part of the USAR squad and will be sent to support search and rescue efforts following the devastating earthquakes. The volunteer firefighter delegation includes a Belgian Malinois, a dog trained for three years to detect human molecules and particles, which is crucial for locating survivors in the rubble. USAR Squadron The humanitarian delegation will depart from Jorge Chávez International Airport to join the international aid efforts following the powerful earthquakes that struck the Caribbean nation.
