From childhood, the founder of the Bankampu Tropical Gallery felt a deep curiosity and love for ornamental plants and trees. In fact, he began collecting plants as a hobby when he was just 15 years old, until he married Mrs. Tassanee Wanno in 1975. It was at this moment that this strong passion transformed into something much bigger. Suddenly, his collection began to grow, and they both loved to travel. and to meet people who shared their love of nature. With much hard work and love, the Bankampu Tropical Gallery was finally created. Initially, this beautiful green collection remained private and required appointments. Today, Surath offers his collection to the public with the opening of the Bankampu Tropical Gallery, where nature lovers can enjoy his work for recreational or educational purposes. Visitors can purchase and take home wonderful ornamental plants and enjoy its charming Thai-style café. Bankampu has become a perfect escape from bustling Bangkok, where visitors can relax and recharge amidst nature. Furthermore, its green spaces have been chosen by hundreds of couples to celebrate their memorable weddings surrounded by greenery and its unique atmosphere. Surath, as curator of this plant "gallery," has worked tirelessly his entire life to assemble an amazing collection of rare and exotic tropical plants.
