He regularly borrowed trailers from his neighbors for this purpose, which proved to be annoying and impractical in the long run. However, his mother rejected the idea of ​​buying his own trailer, as she believed trailers were ugly and only took up valuable space. But Ulli wasn't discouraged. He was determined to find a solution that was both space-saving and aesthetically pleasing. He therefore decided to construct his own trailer that would meet these requirements. During his studies in factory information management, Ulli acquired important skills that would later prove crucial for the development of his trailer. During this time, he conducted his first design experiments, and the idea for the folding trailer was born. With great passion, he began designing a trailer whose length could be reduced to 80 cm in a very short time – the "FALTOS."
