Railroad Bed Collecting: Slag, Minerals, Rocks, and Meteorites

Recent field trip left me near a working railroad line with old and new ballast scattered in the nearby desert. Railroad ballast might be composed of slag, ordinary rocks, or perhaps certain minerals. The video describes what slag is and why people might think it is a meteorite.
