Canon T90 Loose Lens Mount Repair – Easy Fix
One of the Canon T90's common faults is a loose lens mount. This video goes step-by-step through the process of removing the front panel and tightening the four screws to fix the problem. It's that easy. Although the screws look like Philips head, Japanese cameras use their own "JIS" design. The Philips head has a taper so that the driver lifts out when torque is excessive. JIS heads are straight, so the taper on Philips screwdrivers will damage the JIS screw head when force is applied. You can use Philips drivers in JIS screws, but you may notice the slot in the head of the screw is damaged slightly after applying force.
