As a single dad travelling with three kids, there is one airport question I always have to be ready for: “Are you allowed to travel with these children?” That question can come from airline staff, border agents, immigration officers, customs, or law enforcement — and if you are travelling as a single parent, co-parent, or guardian, you need to be able to answer it clearly. In this video, I walk through my travel binder: the printed backup system I bring on family trips to help keep travel smoother, safer, and less stressful. It includes emergency information, travel documents, custody/parenting paperwork, consent letters, itinerary copies, passport copies, insurance details, and information cards for the kids.
