Rock-a-bye My Baby / Haruomi Hosono (cover)
This is the first track on Hosono's first solo album "HOSONO HOUSE" released in 1973. The jazzy chord progression and unique singing style are really cool. Hosono was in his mid-20s at the time, just after the legendary rock band Happy End broke up, but what's amazing is that he already had a background in jazz. He then moved on to approaches to ethnic music and techno, and to me he is more like a god than a genius.
