Black Spur is considered to be one of Australia's greatest drives so we had to check it out! Winding through the rainforest past tree ferns and giant mountain ash trees was definitely a great experience. From there we decided to head towards Toorongo Falls to camp for the night. We stopped on the way and walked the Cumberland circuit where you can observe the Big Tree (84 metres high, 2nd tallest tree in Australia!). Our camping location was spectacular! Dwarfed by giant ferns and arguably the tallest trees on the planet, Mountain Ash. The Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans) grows much faster (3m per year) than the North American Redwoods and one in Tasmania is currently 99m tall or more.
