Gordon Brown's 1998 Budget
On 17 March 1998 Gordon Brown opened the first full budget of the Labour government. Here is the BBC coverage, headed by David Dimbleby with the assistance of Peter Snow, Bridget Rosewall, Moira Elms and Andrew Dilnot in the studio, Diana Madill in Swansea, Anne MacKenzie in Edinburgh, Carolyn Quinn in Westminster. Huw Edwards is stationed outside No. 11 Downing Street.
