France Still Has One Of Its Old Hoverports

In the late 1960s, France and the UK built four brand new hoverports - designed to accommodate the legendary SRN4 cross-channel hovercraft. Today, only one of the four hoverport terminals is still standing. And I decided it's about time I went to explore it. With special guest star Geoff Marshall:    / @geofftech2   Thank you to the friendly staff at Le Terminal, who grew up locally and were very happy to chat to us about the hoverport and its history:   / le-terminal-61575871754639   RECOMMENDED FURTHER VIEWING AND READING My video on "The Last Surviving Giant Hovercraft" :    • The Last Surviving Giant Passenger Hovercraft   "What Happened To Giant Hovercraft" by ‪@MustardChannel‬:    • What Happened To Giant Hovercraft?   "What happened to Britain’s great transport experiment?" by ‪@osullivanluke‬   • What happened to Britain’s great transport...   A detailled history of Boulogne Hoverport, with photos from 2005 (this website is great btw, it also covers the other three cross-channel hoverports) - https://www.hhvferry.com/hoverports_b...
