F1, GP di SPA, trionfa ANTONELLI ma che forza la FERRARI che sembrava indietro!

The Belgian Grand Prix delivered a day destined to live long in the memory of Italian racing fans. Andrea Kimi Antonelli took a commanding victory ahead of Charles Leclerc, bringing two Italian drivers back to the top of a Formula 1 race at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The young Mercedes talent's success came at the end of a race built on intelligence, speed, and management, redeeming three weekends in which race pace had been excellent but results had been hampered by technical problems and unfavorable circumstances. The restart was crucial after a complicated start, characterized by a temporary deficit in Mercedes power unit deployment, which allowed Verstappen to overtake him before the Kemmel. Antonelli, however, took advantage of his slipstream to immediately reclaim the lead, demonstrating composure and great determination. From that moment on, a tactical battle with Leclerc began, played not only on pace but above all on electrical energy management, an element that has become crucial under the current technical regulations. The victory takes on even greater significance considering the level of competition and confirms the young Italian driver's continued growth, now increasingly a key player in the championship fight. Ferrari surprised: Leclerc maximized his potential on an unfavorable track, and second place likely represents the best possible result for Ferrari. Spa-Francorchamps, at least on paper, wasn't a perfect fit for the Maranello car, penalized by the long straights and the high efficiency required. Despite this, the SF-26 demonstrated surprising competitiveness, especially in the second sector, where the fast, medium-radius corners highlighted the car's balance. Strategically, the Prancing Horse made impeccable use of the Virtual Safety Car, executing a perfect double stack that allowed Leclerc to gain approximately ten seconds compared to a normal pit stop. The Spa race confirmed that energy management has become one of the most crucial aspects of modern Formula 1. The time differences between Mercedes and Ferrari in the various sectors of the circuit weren't solely due to aerodynamic efficiency or the speed of the car, but above all to the different use of electric power. Initially, Antonelli concentrated most of his energy on the Kemmel Straight, while Ferrari favored the central section of the track. If the technical developments continue to work, the battle for the championship could become even more open in the coming races.
