REV'IT! Flare Motorcycle Jacket Review Article: https://www.ridersdomain.com/magazine... The Flare Jacket blurs some lines with its sport cut, waterproof design. It’s a three-season jacket for sure, possibly four depending on how gnarly the rain gets in your area. You get a nice, full-sleeve thermal liner inside to keep you warm too. Positives of the Flare for me are the fit, first and foremost. The large, my typical size, is spot on. It’s relatively form-fit, but not too tight, and is nice and cozy with the liner installed. The Knox protectors sit right where they should and don’t shift around either. The bottom of the jacket is a little short compared to other waterproof options out there, but can be connected to pants with the belt loop or short zipper attachment. I never had any trouble with the jacket riding up though. The cut does position the handwarmer pockets a little high on either side, and getting the zippers opened and closed proved to be a little cumbersome at times. I also had to leave the main chassis zipper down slightly, otherwise the large metal pull would rub up against my neck. That being said, the high collar is a nice feature, and the hood stays put nicely when you button it down while riding. It’s a convenient feature if you’re out in the rain and off the bike without your helmet on too. You even get a double zipper closure for the jacket which helps deflect wind and water more effectively. Subtle branding throughout blends nicely with the black/blue camo colorway, and even though I’m not typically a camo guy, I dig the style of the Flare. All in all I’m really pleased with this jacket. It’ll be a go-to piece if you’re looking for something well-built, a little stylish and highly functional in a variety of conditions. Check the description for a link to the REV’IT!
