Growing up speaking Hawaiian and attending immersion schools, he later earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. His diverse experiences include three years volunteering with the Peace Corps in Madagascar and a notable campaign to pay off over $53,000 in student loans by doing various odd jobs. Kamaka leverages his platform to advocate for Hawaiian culture, promote local economies, and foster cultural sensitivity and reciprocity.
