Luke 5:17-26 ---- 17 One day while he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law from every village in Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem were sitting there, and the power of the Lord to heal was with Jesus. 18 A paralytic was brought on a bed by some men who wanted to bring him in before Jesus. 19 But because of the crowd, they could not find a way to carry him in. So they went up to the roof, removed the tiles, and lowered the sick man on his bed down in the midst of the crowd before Jesus. 20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to them, “Man, your sins are forgiven.” 21 The scribes and Pharisees thought to themselves, “Who is this blasphemer? Who but God can forgive sins?” 22 Jesus knew their thoughts and answered, “What is on your minds? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? 24 But I will let you know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then he said to the paralytic, “I tell you, rise and take up your bed.” "Go home," He said. 25 Immediately the man rose before them, took up what he had been lying on, and returned to his house, giving glory to God. 26 Everyone was amazed and gave glory to God, and was greatly afraid, saying, "Today we have seen a marvelous thing." ------ Rev.
