28mm vs 35mm: Which is the BEST focal length? I field-test the Olympus XA2 and XA4 to try & find out

Which is the best all-round lens - and camera - for street, landscape and portrait photography? It’s an impossible question with only subjective answers…but I’ve found that as a daily carry-around, do-everything FILM camera the vintage Olympus XA series are the kings of affordable snapping. I’ve used an XA2 for some time and love its 35mm focal length, but I’ve long wanted to try out the XA4 with its wider 28mm lens and close-focussing Macro capabilities. But if I can choose either then which would I take in my pocket every day? I do a comprehensive test, shooting both cameras with the same film (Kodak ColorPlus 200), and present my conclusions with some photos to admire along the way.
