Sean Muldoon of The Dead Rabbit - "The World's Best Bar"

Michael took a trip down to the New York Irish Whisky Festival recently where over 1,300 Irish whisky lovers packed into The View at Battery Park in Lower Manhattan. The festival brought world-class whiskey experts to one spot to promote renowned brands such as Bushmills, Powers and Teeling as well as newer brands like Lost Irish and Roe & Co. At the event, he spoke to Sean Muldoon, the co-organizer of the festival and the co-owner of the famed The Dead Rabbit bar - which has been awarded the title of the "World's Best Bar." They chat about how the Irish whisky festival came about and why Irish whiskey is such a booming industry while they also discuss the concept behind the Dead Rabbit. Other topics include the movie The Gangs of New York, which prominently features the Dead Rabbit Irish gang and several books Sean has published via the bar. In recent days, Sean and Jack have announced that they will be parting ways from the Dead Rabbot bar with Sean opening a sister bar, called Hazel and Apple in South Carolina while Jack will be staying at the Dead Rabbit to work on its expansion into New Orleans and Austin Texas.
