They feel no guilt about hurting others if it allows them to maintain their power and feel superior. They have difficulty recognizing other people's feelings because they lack empathy: your emotions don't interest them unless they can use them against you. They live their lives seeking external validation because deep down, they feel empty and insecure, even though they will never admit it.
