Hello everyone, I’m Ate Clydee. Let me show you the real, unfiltered life here in rural China as a Filipina living abroad. I have completely fallen in love with my life here, and I wonder… would you also enjoy this kind of lifestyle? I am a mother of two kids. Life here is incredibly peaceful, abundant, safe, budget-friendly, and it lets us save money steadily for our future. Best of all, we are able to build assets for the next generation — like our family house, especially planned for our son. I live together with my husband’s parents, since he is their only son. He will inherit everything his parents have worked hard to build, and we will pass these assets down to our children so they won’t have to struggle through a difficult life. In this culture, parents are considered irresponsible if they cannot secure their children’s future needs: a house, a car, emergency savings, marriage dowry, and quality education. Today, we officially start construction on the second floor of our home. This upper level will eventually become our son’s own house when he gets married someday. Watch along as we build this smooth, modern-style structure that does not use traditional bricks.
