Rex Ray | Underground Deep House Journey | Trvst Spokane

This set was recorded during my second appearance at Open Decks, a semi-weekly gathering of DJs and dance music lovers held on alternating Wednesdays at Trvst in downtown Spokane. It was also my first time recording and filming a live DJ set, so this video captures me learning and growing in real time. Every set teaches me something new, and I'm grateful to everyone who supports the journey. Deep House has always been one of the genres that pulls me in the deepest. There's something special about slowing things down, settling into a groove, and letting the music create space to breathe, reflect, move, and connect. While faster and heavier styles often dominate today's dance floors, I still find myself returning to the hypnotic rhythms, warm textures, and emotional depth that first made me fall in love with house music. One of my goals with this channel is to shine a light on the artists, venues, and communities that keep underground dance music alive. Spokane has an incredible collection of DJs, producers, and music lovers, and I hope these recordings help showcase some of the creativity happening here in the Inland Northwest. For those unfamiliar with Trvst, it's one of Spokane's hidden gems: a speakeasy-style cocktail bar and dance club tucked beneath a former bank building downtown. The entrance is an unmarked door in an alley, and the dance floor sits inside an actual bank vault. It's a unique space with a great sound system, welcoming people, and a genuine appreciation for underground music culture. Thanks for listening, and thanks to everyone who came out that night. I hope you enjoy the journey. #deephouse #spokaneraves
