“André, Tarcísio’s right-hand man.” This will be the slogan adopted by the campaign of the president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp), André do Prado (PL), in the race for a Senate seat on the ticket of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos). The strategy was defined to increase voter awareness of the parliamentarian and reinforce the association between the two. Despite having already been mayor of Guararema, being in his fourth consecutive term as a state deputy, and presiding over Alesp for the second time, André do Prado is seen as a politician with a discreet and conciliatory profile. Behind the scenes, sources emphasize that he maintains dialogue with all political groups, including opposition parties. But internal polls have indicated that the biggest challenge of the campaign, precisely because of this, is to make him better known to the electorate.
