Regenerative agriculture in India
The Nature Conservancy's Promoting Regenerative and No-burn Agriculture (PRANA) project has been working across 6200+ villages of Punjab in Northwest India. PRANA has helped the transition of 850,000 hectares and 370,000 farmers towards no-burn, regenerative agriculture practices like crop residue management and groundwater conservation techniques in rice cultivation. It also promotes crop diversification to augment farmer livelihoods, and is piloting innovative models and practices like Pay-for-Results and biochar. For more information about PRANA, visit https://www.nature.org/en-us/about-us...
