Part 4. The last two days of my solo adventure on the Wda River. Days 6 and 7 Wdecki Młyn - Tleń. I start at the campsite in Wdecki Młyn. Breakfast, packing, and off we go. This morning is hot, but it gets cooler later. It's still hot, but not as hot as yesterday. The river is already deeper than at the beginning of the trip, and there's a lot of vegetation; it looks like a good place for fishing. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts, I haven't managed to catch anything for a long time. As I swim, I see really big specimens, even 1 meter long, so I don't give up and keep casting. However, it's not until the second half of the day that I attach a spinner, probably on my third cast, and bam, there it is! I'm hooking something, the fish is very aggressive, I know it's not some small perch, but something larger. I pull the fish out of the water, look, and it's almost embarrassing to admit, but I don't know what species it is. I have to check online, and it turns out I've caught a nice 34-centimeter grayling. I'm very happy and can't wait for dinner. I reach Błędno, my campsite, almost at dusk. I check the campsite, but it's a disaster: a party, loud music, shouting, dancing. So I set up camp right in front of the campsite, on a nice beach, surprised that no one else has set up camp there. I scrape the fish, fry it, and don't eat until around midnight. My neighbor from Wdecki Młyn, Marcin, is camping in the field next door. This time, I have my own fire, so he joins me for a bit. In the morning, I'm woken by voices. I peek out of my tent, and there's a massacre... hordes of people wandering right in front of my entrance. It turns out that kayak rental companies have a preference for this spot. I get a little nervous, get up quickly, and get out of there as quickly as possible. It's Saturday, and there are hundreds of people on the river. I paddled practically alone the entire trip, without any crowds, encountering few people, just how I like it. The last day, unfortunately, is different. I pick up the pace, hoping to pass the crowds, but as I pass them, I continue a short distance, and more people appear. This section is very beautiful, but the pleasure is spoiled by the numerous kayakers, often drunk and loud, blasting music. After an hour or two, it starts to rain, sometimes turning into a downpour. I have rainwater, so it doesn't bother me; in fact, I'm glad for the variety, even though it's already the last day. Along the way, I feel sorry for the people paddling in their T-shirts, soaked to the skin, cold, and eager to finish their trip as quickly as possible. I reach Tleń, and the rain stops. Just before the finish line, I have one last meal on the river, then I paddle to the kayak pick-up point where I've arranged a ride. The trip was a great success, and I'm delighted with the Wda River, which I'll definitely return to.
