In this case, we show you the magnificent results obtained with air layering of grafted Valencia orange lemon trees after two and a half months of rooting. The first thing we do is remove the plastic wrap we used to better maintain humidity inside the specific air layering balls we used. Next, we randomly open a layering ball or cutting to check the general condition of all the others, and voila! We find perfectly developed roots, ready to be cut and transplanted into a pot. Next, and after checking the success of each of the 20 layers, we proceed to make the cut at the bottom, approximately 1-2 cm away from the ball. Afterwards, we properly clean and prepare the layers before transplanting them into the pots—an essential process that you can't skip to ensure success. Finally, we remove all the layering balls, prepare the pots with a specific substrate to promote and accelerate rooting, as well as prompt sprouting and the creation of new shoots and branches.
