There is an another route which takes you through chamba & beautiful Tehri Dam on the bhagirathi river. The dam has created a vast reservoir known as Tehri Lake. Tehri Lake has become a popular tourist destination for boating and other water activities. The scenic beauty of the surrounding areas also attracts tourists. I would like to tell you that you should also visit Dhari Devi Mandir in between. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Dhari Devi, who is considered the guardian deity of the region. She is believed to protect the people from natural disasters and calamities, particularly floods. From Rudraprayag, continue towards Gaurikund, which is around 75 kilometers (47 miles) further. This is the last point accessible by motor vehicles.
