Supriya Menon is a Producer and the co-founder of Prithviraj Productions. Prithviraj Productions was launched in 2017. She has in partnership with her husband actor/ director Prithviraj produced and distributed more than 10 films. Their films under the banner of Prithviraj Productions include 9, Driving License, Kuruthi, Jana Gana Mana, Kaduva, Gold and Selfie (Hindi movie to be released). Supriya Menon is a former BBC journalist. She had also worked as a reporter for NDTV. She was all set to go abroad for her further studies when she met Prithviraj. Soon they were in love and after a long courtship of four years, they got married. Supriya's parents have always been supportive of all her decisions. Her father Vijayakumar Menon passed away a year ago. She now lives in Kochi with her mother, her husband Prithviraj and daughter Alankrita. This interview is in two parts: The first part encapsulates her journey so far as a person who had to move to Kerala after leading the life of a journalist in Mumbai. She talks about how her relationship with her husband Prithviraj has evolved over the years and how they have worked together to create their film production and distribution house Prithviraj Productions. She talks about being married into this family which include stars like Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima Indrajith and Mallika Sukumaran. Prithviraj`s father Sukumaran himself was the leading actor and the hero in several movies and was known for his strong portrayal of characters. The second part is more about the personal side of her being. She talks about how her parents helped her become the person that she is today. She talks about the grief that she has been going through after her dad passed away. Her dad was battling cancer. She talks about how she is perceived differently from who she is and her struggle being very different as she holds on to her own identity. She talks about how she dealt with postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter and how she sought help to help her through it. Both the episodes give us a glimpse to her life journey and reward us with several takeaways that stay with us.
