My Rare Fruit Farm Is Taking Off! 🍑🌱 July Garden Tour

Welcome to this month’s garden tour! 🌱 In this update we’re checking on 60+ rare fig trees, American & Asian persimmons, mulberries, backyard chickens, raised beds, and my plans to transform more of the property using regenerative cover crops. 🌾 This year’s cover crop mix: • 40% Annual Ryegrass • 25% Crimson Clover • 20% Forage Peas • 10% Tillage Radish • 5% Sunflowers The goal is to build healthier soil, add organic matter, fix nitrogen, attract pollinators, and prepare the ground for future fruit trees. I’m documenting the journey of building a productive backyard rare fruit farm in Colorado—from propagating figs and planting uncommon fruit trees to improving soil naturally and growing more food each season.
