Checking out Baroon Pocket Dam - Kayak fishing for Bass

My first trip to Baroon Pocket Dam (Lake Baroon) and my first bass on the new rod and reel set up! I've been itching to try out Baroon for a while now and it didn't disappoint. Despite the crazy windy conditions (it was blowing an absolute hoolie!) I managed to get amongst some quality bass. It's a beautiful place, I'll definitely be making a return trip as I have a feeling with the right conditions, this water could be quite something... This session was filmed on 6 February 2026 - warm sunny conditions with incredibly strong winds and a barometric pressure of 1012 mb.
