Gen 3 Mitsubishi Montero 3.8l lower intake repair 6g75 2003-2006

Hello everyone, In this video I will show you how to fix your lower surge tank/plenum on a 3.8l Mitsubishi Montero. This part is very expensive new and a very common spot for a vacuum leak. I had a p0171 lean bank 2 code and it was because of this o-ring that was very brittle. If you spray some brake cleaner on the o-ring spot while the car is running it shouldn't change the idle. If you do have a vacuum leak it will change the idle. Also if you don't have a check engine light but your traction control lights are on, it could be because of the vacuum leak also.
