MOSS International - Jambalasee Rule {Official Music Video} 1991

This music video was the first of it's kind for GRENADA. Previously, the sights and sounds of j'ouvert and jab jab were deemed too vulgar for mainstream music and acceptable society. The Grenadian band M. O. S. S International is highlighted as the vehicle that advanced an indigenous part of Grenada’s culture. They essentially created a musical sub-genre that has had a major impact on the Caribbean’s musical landscape and on our cultural history. M.O.S.S’ 1991 smash hit JAMBALASEE RULE marked the first time in Grenada’s history that the indigenous goat-skin drums, conch shells and jab-chants of j’ouvert morning had made their way into a recording studio and unto a record. Thus marking the official birth of JAB MUSIC.
