Peters Proefrit #55: Opel Astra OPC (2000) | Autovisie

The very first Opel Astra OPC is rare, affordable, and developed with help from Lotus. Opel chose the Astra G as the basis for its Opel Performance Centre label. Initially, only 2,500 Astra OPCs were to be produced, but that number eventually grew to 3,000. Lotus designed the chassis and the powerful 2.0-liter 16V engine with 160 hp. In this new episode of Peter's Test Drive, Autovisie test editor Peter Hilhorst explains why this was a compelling launch for the OPC label.
