We cross-check information using sources such as Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, public sources, local signs, and research assistance tools. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Description: 📍 This no-commentary walking tour begins at Plazoleta Gay in the heart of Iloilo City Proper, then heads south along Iznart Street. 🏙️ Iznart Street remains a busy commercial street, with shops, pedestrians, traffic, signs, small businesses, and the everyday movement of downtown Iloilo. 🛒 The route passes the Iznart Street side of Iloilo Central Market, then crosses Rizal Street and follows the market perimeter east. 🚶 From the market area, the walk continues along Rizal Street toward Ortiz Street, where the character of the route begins to change. 🌊 Turning south onto Ortiz Street, the walk enters the waterfront community around the old Ortiz Wharf. ⚓ The wharf is no longer used for regular boat traffic.
