Godess Kanakadurga manifested here inside a cave in a chakra form It is called Dhanakonda Durgamma, a very powerful goddess. How to reach this temple? a) విజయవాడలో జమ్మిచెట్టు సెంటర్ కి వచ్చి, మొదటి Left తీసుకుని తిన్నగా ఒక 5 నిముషాలు ప్రయాణిస్తే , ఈ ఆలయం మెట్ల దగ్గరకి వెళ్తారు . Near Vijayawada Jammi Chettu center, take first left and travel for 5 minutes. You will reach first step from where you can climb this hill. b) జమ్మిచెట్టు సెంటర్ దగ్గర ఒక Petrol bunk ఉంటుంది. దాని పక్క సందులో తిన్నగా వెళితే ఒక శివాలయం వస్తుంది. ఆ ఆలయం దగ్గర ఎవ్వరినైనా ధనకొండ దుర్గమ్మ అని అడిగితే చెప్తారు. There is a Pertol bunk near Jammi chettu. Take the lane adjecent to it and go straight. You will find a Sivalayam. Ask here, and they will show you Dhanakonda temple route ఈ కొండపైకి వెళ్ళడానికి ఒక 300 మెట్లు, కొంచెం నడక దారి ఉంటాయి. కానీ చాలా ఉల్లాసంగా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఆలయం వరకూ కొండ ఎక్కడానికి ఒక 30-45 నిముషాలు పడుతుంది. Vehicle పైకి వెళ్లదు. మనం నడిచి వెళ్ళాలి There are 200-300 steps and some road to reach the top. It takes 30-45 mins to walk.
