Tedashii Details How Losing Son Inspired Latest Album

http://www.vladtv.com - Tedashii, while he may be less known than your average mainstream rapper, is a prolific wordsmith whose latest album, Below Paradise, debuted at #17 on the Billboard 200, which is quite impressive for an indie Hip-Hop artist with Christian-leaning material. The talented spitter sat down with VladTV to discuss the album, its inspiration and whether he embraces being referred to as a "Christian rapper." The Reach Records signee says his latest album was largely inspired by losing his one-year-old son unexpectedly, recalling he got the news on a flight from a concert while headed back home. The pain, emotion and coping that came along with that experience made its way onto the album, as well as his choice to turn to God for comfort. When it comes to being called a "Christian rapper" he says he doesn't mind the label, as society has a tendency to divide groups into subcultures naturally. However, he does feel that once you hear the music, you'll know he comes from an authentically hip-hop background and is a skilled rapper, whether or not his Christianity is brought into question.
