What use can you find for an old Soviet DT-75 crawler tractor? There are three options: 1. Restore it and try to restore it to its former working condition; 2. Sell it to the scrap yard; 3. Apply a little imagination and engineering skill to create a powerful farm assistant. My friend Dmitry chose the third option and transformed an old, unwanted DT-75 into a tractor that now works in the field from spring to fall, while still easily navigating paved roads! The wheeled DT-75, while not as agile as the MTZ-80/82, is more powerful and capable of handling heavier machines and implements. For example, in this case, this tractor was used all summer with a mounted KRONE 243CV mower, which is a bit heavy for the MTZ.
