The reason for the jamming, as it turned out, is NOT wear of the brake caliper guides, but wear, scuffing of the brake piston. Further diagnostics revealed a torn boot / cuff of the right brake piston, through which dirt, sand, water, etc. got into the mechanism. The brake mechanism of this car is a classic design and in general is not very complicated. But, there are nuances.
