Banjir Tanah Mas Semarang

Floodwaters surrounded the Tanah Mas housing complex in Semarang on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Heavy rain that poured for nearly 12 hours starting on Friday, February 5, left Semarang City inundated. The Tanah Mas housing complex in North Semarang was one of the worst flooding areas in the city. Water surrounded the area from the main access road to almost every home in the morning. Many residents evacuated, while others stayed. My house is on Jalan Muara Mas. I went to evacuate on Saturday afternoon, and the water was still thigh-deep. By evening, it had gotten even higher. By Monday, the water had begun to recede. The last flood in my area was in 2013, but the water only reached my calves. Always be joyful, for that is where your strength lies.
