The 16th Ordinary Session of the Regional Council of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica of this year was held at the Magallanes Technical Training Center (CFT), located at 580 Sampaio Street, Porvenir, Tierra del Fuego Province. This session was chaired by the Protocol President of the Regional Council of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica (CORE), Ms. Roxana Gallardo Concha, in accordance with the provisions of Article 23 septies of Law No. 19,175, the Constitutional Organic Law on Regional Government and Administration. Mr. Pedro Ossandón Solar attended as the substitute official for the Regional Governor, with voice but no vote. At the beginning of the session, the Provincial Presidential Delegate of Tierra del Fuego (DPP), Ms. Margarita Norambuena Caviedes, and the Mayor of the Illustrious City of Porvenir offered formal greetings. The Mayor of Porvenir, Mr. José Gabriel Parada Aguilar, also spoke about the present and future aspirations and challenges of the municipality he leads.
