Kinisi MAX Bridge and Rope Adjuster Compatibility
A key feature of the Kinisi MAX is the adjustable bridge for easy configuration and optimised work positioning. Here, a series of tests, beyond which are required for sit harness certification, have been conducted on the bridge, illustrating its resilience and thoughtful design. One series began with cyclic loading at 4 kN (100 and 1000 cycles), followed by a 15 kN tensile load for three minutes and ending with a pull to destruction. The other began with a one metre dynamic drop using a 155 kg mass attached by a steel lanyard, then also being subjected to a 15 kN tensile load for three minutes before being pulled to destruction. The residual strength in all tests was greater than 30 kN. The results demonstrate that the system is capable of handling a force much greater than what would be seen in normal use or what is required in certification testing. In summary, DMM and Treemagineers have created a resilient adjustable bridge system through a performance by design approach, using intentionally selected materials and compatible thoughtfully designed components.
