Mulu National Park | Sarawak, Malaysia

In March 2025 I spent 4 days in Mulu National Park, located on Borneo Island, in Sarawak of Malaysia. Besides doing dayhikes, I nourished the hope of spotting the nocturnal Tarsier, or perhaps a Slow Loris, during regular solo night walks in the rainforest. At the end of my trip, having not spotted any Slow Loris nor Tarsier, I was still happy to spot numerous other fascinating species 😊 Also, chatting with a few of the Park Rangers and learning that they rarely see any Slow Loris or Tarsier - one of them had only seen a Tarsier once during his 15 years as a Ranger, I realised I would've been extremely lucky if I had seen one!
