Fly Tying - Scud Bomb by Hans Mylant

In this video I teach you how to tie my Umpqua Signature Pattern, the Scud Bomb. This fly was designed to act as an anchor fly on a euro rig, but works equally well as a lead/attractor fly on a traditional indicator setup. I use a custom dubbing blend for the orange and olive color ways, the dubbing blend consist's of: -For Orange: 50% Hareline Natural Hare's Ear dubbing and 50% Hareline Orange Rabbit dubbing. -For Olive: 50% Hareline Natural Hare's Ear Dubbing and 50% Hareline Olive Brown Rabbit dubbing. -For the Rainbow color way I use Wapsi Rainbow Sow Scud dubbing. -Radiant Orange Tungsten Jig Bomb for the orange color way -Radiant Brown Tungsten Jig Bomb for the olive color way -Radiant Pink Tungsten Jig Bomb for the rainbow color way The hook use is a Tiemco 2487, I tie it in 3 sizes: -#12 with a 3.5mm Tungsten Jig Bomb -#14 with a 3mm Tungsten Jig Bomb -#16 with a 2.5mm Tungsten Jig bomb
