As part of the preparation for production and state certification, the LADA Azimut underwent another stage of testing at the laboratory and testing complex of the AVTOVAZ JSC test site. According to the results of the tests, the LADA Azimut demonstrated a high level of reliability and adaptability to the roads and climate of Russia. Since 2023, a new climate testing facility has been operating at the AVTOVAZ JSC test site, where the LADA Azimut prototypes and pre-production crossovers are tested. Modern climate chambers, which are part of the laboratory complex, allow for the setting of a wide range of temperatures, from +60°C to -50°C. The humidity can also be adjusted, ranging from 25% to 95%. The control system provides the ability to expose the vehicle to a sequence of specific, uniform, and stable temperature and humidity conditions in multiple stages. Both manual and automatic control of test modes are available. In particular, the LADA Azimut power unit has been calibrated to ensure reliable engine starting in harsh winter conditions. The laboratory and testing complex of the AVTOVAZ test site also includes a unique salt fog chamber. The vehicle is periodically placed in the salt fog chamber as part of a series of road tests that simulate the long-term and all-season use of the vehicle in urban and highway environments. The salt solutions are not only deposited on the vehicle's body but are also sprayed under pressure on all its parts, including the underside and wheel arches, to simulate the effects of harsh environments on the vehicle. In addition to simulating a chemically aggressive environment, the chamber creates an elevated temperature and humidity, and the vehicle is exposed to a flowing air stream saturated with reagent vapors, making the testing conditions even more challenging. Before the corrosion resistance tests, calibrated incisions are made on all vehicle body components to assess the impact of aggressive environments. Based on the results of these tests, including road tests in the salt pools of the test site, the LADA Azimut's body showed a high level of corrosion resistance. The car was also tested in a new rain chamber, which is part of the test site's complex. This chamber not only simulates all types of rain, but also allows the car to be tilted on a special platform, making the testing conditions even more challenging and realistic. The LADA Azimut demonstrated a high level of body integrity during the tests. Together with a unique 10-kilometer high-speed ring road and special sections, the laboratory and testing complex of the AVTOVAZ test site allows for a full cycle of accelerated road tests of a vehicle for reliability and durability. #dacia #renault #cars #suv
