It all started out like a classic LaBaTakki ride. Beautiful roads, beautiful bikes, new friends, arguments about cars and poor roads, outrageous outbursts at everything and everyone—basically, the usual stuff. But then... We set off in the company of two new friends, Tommaso and Paolo, with their BMW S1000RR and Yamaha Tracer 9 GT Plus, toward a destination we don't often, or almost never, do: Casentino. Home to sudden weather changes and far from our "base," the famous Boh, it's a destination we don't often visit, but it always offers breathtaking views and plenty of curves. This time, however, after arguing with every car imaginable and wishing the worst on those who manage the road surfaces we rode on, we found ourselves in the middle of setting up for the first race of the C.I.V.S. (Italian Hill Climb Championship) season. After saying goodbye to some dear friends, we wanted to try this short stretch of road that would be the scene of epic battles against the clock from the next day.
