Senate GOP leader Steve Hershey pushes back on Maryland redistricting effort
Maryland lawmakers will soon be headed back to Annapolis for a special session on congressional redistricting. The General Assembly is expected to draft a constitutional amendment to put before voters in November that would codify the state legislature's ability to redraw districts across the Chesapeake Bay, likely leading to a new map being put in place before the 2028 election. Senate Minority Leader Steve Hershey criticized the effort with WBAL's C4 and Bruce Elliott this morning.
