It's important to have water there. You can place a crowbar or an axe there. In case of a cave-in, it's important that the passage isn't blocked. 7) Pack a bag with clothes and shoes, including the essentials for the season. 8) Review first aid rules. 9) Make sure your mobile phone is always charged and close by. During artillery shelling: 1) Stay home if possible; don't go outside unless absolutely necessary. 2) Go to your shelter or bomb shelter as quickly as possible. 3) If you're caught in a bombing while driving, don't run. Quickly look around, lie down on the ground, preferably in a depression, and not under buildings to avoid being hit by window shards. Cover your head with your hands, and keep your mouth slightly open. If you were driving, stop, get out, and lie down in a depression, as described above. A car can't protect you from shrapnel and won't carry you away, as the speed of flying shrapnel is incomparable to the speed of a car; 4) If you're at home, don't go to the windows to see what's going on; your life is more valuable than curiosity; 5) Remember, shelling can't last long; there will inevitably be lulls; you can only move after you're sure the shelling has stopped. A mine explosion is more dangerous than a shell explosion, but it arrives with a distinctive whistle. Typically, you'll hear a dull volley, followed by an explosion with an approaching whistle 3-5 seconds later. Running during a mortar attack is absolutely dangerous, even if your shelter is not very far away; it's better to lie down and wait it out. It's also very important to remember that wartime is the best time for looters. When there's no legitimate authority, these people will try to profit, knowing it won't last long.
