Short Documentary about the Fashion Designer Walter van Beirendonck. Head of Fashion at the Royal Academy in Antwerpen. He guides the students in the graduation show of 2011 and tells about his own fascination, projects and visions about the future of fashion during his 'Clouds #9' show in Paris. In the i FABRIC. EUROPEAN TALENT exhibition, Audax Textielmuseum Tilburg presents a young generation of highly promising designers from Europe who are active in the fields of fashion, interior textiles and design. But what does the actual practice that awaits them involve? To answer this question, the Textielmuseum commissioned the young filmmaker Marleine van der Werf to produce video portraits of experienced players in the field. The portraits of the Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck, the British artist Lucy Orta, and Anne Højgaard Jørgensen, artistic director of the Danish textile producer Kvadrat, provide insight into their work and their views on design education. i FABRIC. Om die vraag te beantwoorden maakte de jonge filmmaker Marleine van der Werf in opdracht van het Textielmuseum videoportretten van ervaren spelers in het veld. De portretten van de Belgische modeontwerper Walter Van Beirendonck, de Britse kunstenaar Lucy Orta en artistiek directeur van de Deense textielfabrikant Kvadrat Anne Højgaard Jørgensen geven inzicht in hun werk en hun visie op het ontwerponderwijs. i FABRIC is één van de hoogtepunten van de culturele programmering in het kader van de manifestatie Tilburg Textiles welke is opgezet binnen de context van 2018BrabantStad, Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa.
