Als die Amerikaner kamen 8/11 - Befreiung der Zwangsarbeiter

In the spring of 1945, allied troops occupy the whole of westphalia within a few weeks. The advancing troops are accompanied by small camera teams, that record the occupation on camera. Spectacular pictures show victory and defeat, the end of the war and new beginnings. The "LWL-Medienzentrum für Westfalen" used the US-Americans' recordings to produce a documentary that shows the end of the war out of the American troops' perspective. 0:00 Labour Camps 1:16 Liberation at Hemer 2:57 Surviving in thecamps 4:21 Oflag in Soest 6:01 Displaced Persons We are releasing this documentary through eleven seperate chapters: Chap. 1: Westphalia in spring 1945 Chap. 2: Bomb war Chap. 3: American military logistics Chap. 4: Advance on the "Sauerland" Chap. 5: The "Ruhrkessel" Chap. 6: German prisoners of war Chap. 7: White flags Chap. 8: Liberation of the forced labourers Chap. 9: Confronting war crime Chap. 10: Internment of war criminals Chap. 11: Winners and Losers Watch the whole film: https://westfalen-medien-shop.lwl.org...
